EMERYVILLE, Calif., Sept. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- National Mortgage Insurance Corporation (National MI), a subsidiary of NMI Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:  NMIH), announced that Michael J. Dirrane, senior managing director and chief sales officer, has been appointed chairman of MassHousing, a Boston-based affordable housing agency. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker made the appointment.

First named to the MassHousing board in 1993, Dirrane is the longest-serving board member in the agency's 49-year history, and has served on the governing body for nearly half of the time the agency has been in existence. He previously served as chairman from 1995 to 2009.
